PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a hinge module and a portable folding telephone set having the same. SOLUTION: This portable folding telephone set has a casing 31, 1st rotary shaft 35 integrated into the casing, 1st torsion coil spring 34 integrated into the casing for turning the rotary shaft, and damper part 60 provided inside the casing. The damper part 60 presents a damper function by stirring silicone oil 63, which is charged between O-rings 61 and 62, through the wing parts of the 1st torsion coil spring 34 and the 1st rotary shaft 35 and a planar part 35d. The wing parts have been originally provided for determining the turning range of the 1st rotary shaft 35.
