<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record management information on file data, recorded on a DVC, on an MIC by recording file management information on another recording media other than a magnetic tape recording medium. SOLUTION: Input data inputted from a data input unit 20 are sent to a file management information taking-out unit 1, a tape management information taking-out unit 23, and a magnetic tape 21. The file management information taking-out unit 1 takes information on files, recorded on a tape, out by the files. On the MIC 2, the information taken out by the file management information taking-out unit 1 and tape management information taking-out unit 23 is recorded. When the data recorded on the magnetic tape 21 are reproduced, information regarding the respective files is read out of the MIC 2 in addition to auxiliary information regarding the tape such as a cassette ID, and the data are reproduced from the magnetic tape according to the read information and outputted from a data output unit 22. Consequently, access to the recorded files is made easy.</p> |
