摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable distortion reduction and lowing of battery performance to be suppressed by maintaining a better range of a clearance between alloy powders in each portion of a hydrogen storage alloy electrode. SOLUTION: When hydrogen storage alloy powders, bonding liquid and water are mixed, and a paste is formed and applied to a power collector, an alloy powder dispersion material for dispersing hydrogen adsorption alloy powders is added to the hydrogen absorption alloy powders. Thus, spatial dispersion of an active mass of the hydrogen absorption alloy electrode can be reduced, and therefore, a rise in the battery internal pressure during overcharge due to too small an actual capacitance and fall in the high-rate discharge characteristics and I-V characteristics can be suppressed from being generated. In addition, since a clearance between the alloy powders is evenly formed at each electrode portion, distribution of electrolyte, gas flow or current flow does not deviate, and the suppression of battery reaction resistance and reduction of the electric resistance and the rise in the battery internal pressure during overcharge can be realized.
