PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a shift feeling irrespective of variations in shift conditions with a downshift controller which positions gears into a downshift state by depressurizing the first coupling element having been coupled at a gear position prior to the downshift operation and pressurizing the second coupling element having been decoupled, by controlling the pressurization of the second coupling element for allowing for pressurized timing at a power-on downshift operation. SOLUTION: An automatic-transmission downshift controller is provided with a power-on downshift control means (c), a gear-ratio detection means (d) for detecting the gear ratio varying during power-on downshift control, a downshift-depressurization control means (g) for outputting to a depressurization control actuator (e) a command to raise the released pressure of a first coupling element (a) when the detected gear ratio reaches the first set gear ratio in the latter half period of shift operation, and a downshift- pressurization control means (h) for outputting to a pressurization control actuator (f) a command to raise the supplied pressure of a second coupling element (b) when the detected gear ratio reaches the second gear ratio set for immediately before the completion of the shift operation larger than the first set gear ratio. |
