PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picture interpolation processor improving the degree of freedom in the constitution, etc., of a memory and speedily executing am image interpolation processing by successive reading. SOLUTION: In this image interpolation processor, A DRAM access control circuit 2 does not re-read overlapped image data but reads newly required image data in already read image data and a main memory address generation circuit 2 changes the starting address of the reading of the main memory 6 to cumulatively add an increment part to this to generate the reading address of image data to read newly. A image processing arithmetic block 4 executes arithmetic processing to image data. A 16-pixel buffer 5 temporarily stores image data of maximum 16 pixels to execute cache operation to the main memory. |
