SOLUTION: A capacitor charging device includes an early-stage charging inverter INV1 and a fine adjusting inverter INV2 having each serial resonance circuit C1, C2, L1, and L2 for switching in accordance with each frequency, which is determined by these elements C1, C2, L1, and L2, a booster transformer T3 with two primary windings P1 and P2, to which the resonance output of the inverters INV1 and INV2 are fed, and a rectifier RF3 for rectifying the output of the booster transformer T3 and charging a load capacitor Co. In a conventional case, the resonance outputs of the inverters INV1 and INV2 are each boosted by using two booster transformers and rectified by two rectifiers. In this constitution, only one booster transformer T3 and one rectifier RF3 are used.
