<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clock in which an appropriate time siren performance operation can be realized. SOLUTION: Just at an o'clock, a performance control circuit 13 actuates a drive circuit 6 for a mechanism and a melody time siren circuit 8 to start a performance operation. At the same time, a sound sensor 11 detects sound before and after the performance operation and resumes the performance operation if the volume exceeds a predetermined level. More specifically, the sound detected by the sound sensor 11 is regarded as the hand clapping and cheers of surrounding persons and the volume is regarded as the extent of interest of surrounding persons. The performance operation is resumed depending on the extent of interest of surrounding persons thus providing an appropriate performance operation.</p> |
