PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the capacitance of an optical element, by a method wherein an L-shaped lead and the other lead are fixed in the same pin through hole by using insulator, and the chip fixing part of the L-shaped lead is above the upper surface of an eyelet, and is not in contact with the insulator. SOLUTION: An anode pin 44 and a cathode pin 42 are fixed to constant positions of a single through hole 39 by using insulating material 41. The cathode pin 42 is L-shaped, has a bent part 45 in the upper part, and further has a wide horizontal part 46 which is parallel with the case surface. A light receiving element chip 47 is bonded on the horizontal part 46. Thereby the chip is fixed directly to the pin, so that capacitance due to a submount is not present. The anode pin and the cathode pin are not surrounded by a thin hole but exist in a wide hole, so that capacitance between a hole and pins is reduced. Since the plane part 46 of the L-shaped pin is distant from the case, capacitance between the plane part and the case is reduced. |
