<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to easily touch typing operation by properly arranging a multidirectional operation input key which functions to input input symbols corresponding to respective operation directions and restore itself to its original state when an operation force is removed. SOLUTION: The keyboard 3 is provided with the multidirectional operation input key 2, which can be operated to plural directions, on the surface of a machine base 1, and when the operation input key 2 is operated, an input symbol corresponding to how many times the key is operated can be inputted. The operation input key 2 can be operated to >=2 directions from a fixed position on the machine base 1 and returns to its origimal state. When this is used for, for example, a portable telephohe, the multidirectional operation input key 2 is used to operate numbers; and the number of input keys for the number of input symbols can be reduced to a reciprocal-multiple of the number of the operation directions of the multidirectional operation input key 2, choices for retrieving input keys is greatly decreased, so the efficiency of touch typing retrieval can greatly be improved.</p> |
