PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic motor that allows the vibration of a piezoelectric transducer to be converted into the rotational motion of rotors with high efficiency. SOLUTION: A large number of slits 6a, 8a are formed on the surface of a rotor 8 in contact with a piezoelectric transducer. This makes it possible to make good use of even the vibration of the surface of the rotor 8 in contact with the piezoelectric transducer arising from the vibration (elliptic motion) of the piezoelectric transducer to increase the contact surface speed. It also makes it possible to convert the vibration of the piezoelectric transducer into the rotation of the rotor 8 and take it out. Slits 6a, 8b are formed on the surface of the piezoelectric transducer in contact with the rotor as well so that the piezoelectric transducer will be in a comb shape, that is, so that the teeth of combs will be in contact with each other. This synergistically amplifies the vibration, and makes it possible to convert the vibration into the rotational motion of the rotor and take it out with higher efficiency. |
