PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a cleaning sheet from adversely affecting an image and winding on a photoreceptor. SOLUTION: In a normal state (A), the photoreceptor 2 and a transfer belt 3 are in a contact state and a toner image on the photoreceptor 2 is transferred to a recording sheet carried during this contact. When a cleaning mode is specified (B), pressing rollers 5a and 5b come into contact with the transfer belt 3, to press/move it downward, so that the photoreceptor 2 and the transfer belt 3 are separated. The cleaning sheet is inserted through between the transfer belt 3 and the pressing rollers 5a and 5b, to be carried. Therefore, the cleaning sheet having a sticking member for cleaning a carrying means in a sheet carrying path is never brought into contact with or wound on the photoreceptor 2. |
