PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the piezoelectric transformer with high reliability without causing a crack resulting from residual distortion at polarization by improving the connection reliability between electrodes and external terminals without decreasing a boosting ratio in the case of forming the piezoelectric transformer through the provision of the electrodes on a surface of a piezoelectric ceramic board. SOLUTION: Insulation layers 5A, 5B formed on a ceramic board (piezoelectric ceramic board) are provided to at least output electrodes 4A, 4B among electrodes on the surface of the ceramic board 1 in a way of side by side arrangement at least with parts of the electrodes. Then the electrodes 4A, 4B provided with the insulation layers 5A, 5B are so structured that the electrodes 4A, 4B have parts extended onto the insulation layers 5A, 5B in addition to parts in contact with the ceramic board 1 thereby extending the electrode area to be connected to input terminals without changing the contact area with the piezoelectric board 1. |
