SAFETY HOOD FOR AUTOMOBILE HITCH GEAR BALL

FIELD: transport engineering; protection of people in case of accidental contact with automobile hitch gear. SUBSTANCE: safety hood of ball made of flexible material consists of shaped base with hole to pass hitch ball and cap with side walls. Hood is made in form of parallelepiped on side wall of which, pointed to automobile, special recess is made for cat's eye reflector. Upper wall in center of symmetry is provided with boss in form of truncated cone. Locking unit in form of boss is arranged at inlet to inner space following the shape of hitch ball. Boss adjoins side wall with cat's eye reflector and fills inlet hole on 1/2 of circumference. Face is made on boss at side of hitch ball inlet. Hole for locking screw is made on opposite shaped side wall. Safety hood for hitch gear ball provides safety of vehicles and people, both in light and dark hours, it operates as shock absorbing and signalling device and protects hitch ball from corrosion.
