PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain requirements of quickness required for synchronization establishment after return of the receiver in a reception service zone and low power consumption by controlling a time interval of an intermitting operation of a reception section at a time interval suitable for the mode of out-zone movement. SOLUTION: A reception section 102 receives a power supply intermittently and receives and demodulates a radio signal. A synchronizing signal detection section 104 detects a synchronizing signal from an output signal of the reception section 102. A synchronization monitor section 108 detects an out of zone movement of the radio selective calling receiver based on the detection result by the synchronizing signal detection section 104. A history storage section 109 stores a history whether or not the synchronizing signal is detected when power supply is supplied to the reception section 102, over a prescribed number of times in the past. A reception section power supply control section 110 controls a time interval to supply intermittently power to the reception section 102 based on the history stored in the history storage section 109 when out of zone movement of the radio selective calling receiver. |
