PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent degradation of the performance and destruction of optical fiber cables even if a tensile force more than being permissible is exerted by forming holes of a bore slightly larger than the outside diameter of the optical fiber cables at a block-like object made of a material having an elastic material and making the holes separable in order to facilitate the insertion of the optical fiber cables into these holes. SOLUTION: The block-like main body 1 made of an elastic material, such as rubber or sponge, is provided with plural pieces of the through-holes 2. A holder 1 is further provided with cut grooves 3 so as to arrive at the through- holes 2 from the front surface of the holder to enable the sepn. of part of the through-holes 2. The through-holes 2 are formed arbitrarily to meet the number of the optical fiber cables to be used. The holder is used not to mechanically hold the optical fiber cables but to allow the free movement of the optical fiber cables to some extent within the holder by the material and structure of the holder as to avoid imparting the mechanical stresses fatal to the optical fiber cables. |
