PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber fusion reinforcing material which contributes to the miniaturization of an optical transmission module for packaging the optical fiber fusion reinforcing material and the relaxation of the regulation on an optical fiber length and tolerance and its packaging structure. SOLUTION: In the optical fiber fusion reinforcing material 2 for reinforcing the fusion spliced part of an optical fiber 1, the fusion spliced part of is protected with a shrink tube 4 and a reinforcing core material 5 is put therein. The outer periphery thereof is coated with a coating material 6 and is curvlinearly formed to the curvature of the min. permissible radius R of the optical fiber 1. The optical fiber fusion reinforcing material 2 of the packaging structure of the optical fiber fusion reinforcing material 2 for packaging the fusion spliced part of the optical fiber 1 into a housing case 3 via the optical fiber fusion reinforcing material 2 is curvilinearly formed to the curvature of the min. permissible radius R of the optical fiber 1. This fusion reinforcing material 2 is packaged in the corner part of the housing case 3. |
