PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent stealing of peripheral equipment of a computer system. SOLUTION: The computer system is provided with a nonvolatile memory to register discrimination numbers to a computer body 10 and peripheral equipment 20, 30 respectively and furthermore, the computer main body 10 is provided a discrimination number comparison part 13 to compare the discrimination number registered in the nonvolatile memory 12 of the computer body with the one registered in the nonvolatile memory of the peripheral equipment 20, 30 and a peripheral equipment use judgment part 14 to permit or not to permit the use of the peripheral equipment, based on the comparison result of the discrimination number comparison part 13 to a computer body 10. Stealing of the peripheral equipment 20, 30 is suppressed, because the peripheral equipment is unusable in the computer system other than the registered specific computer system and economic value of the stolen peripheral equipment 20, 30 is reduced to nearly zero. |
