PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compensate problems caused by fluctuation of driving conditions and abrasion of an engine and transmission gears due to acceleration and deceleration by a driver by automatically performing shift-back of a transmission based on an engine condition within a prescribed time after shifting the transmission. SOLUTION: A TCU 40 controls a transmission according to signals from an engine RPM sensor 10, a throttle valve opening sensor 20, and a vehicle speed sensor 30 based on a prescribed transmission shifting pattern. The TCU 40 calculates an engine torque and a driving torque after up-shifting or down- shifting from original transmission gear speed to target transmission gear speed is started based on the prescribed transmission shifting pattern, and determines whether or not shift-back to the original transmission gear speed is required. A sifting part 50, based upon the determination result, utilizes a frictional coefficient and performs shift-back of the transmission. It is thus possible to obtain speedy and smooth acceleration, eliminate unnecessary operation of transmission, and prolong its service life. |
