PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To economically produce a conductive material for which carbon fibers are employed and improve the durability of the conductive material by mixing carbon fibers and resin and melting and depositing resin. SOLUTION: Carbon fibers and thermally fusible resin fibers are mixed at a desired ratio and the mixture is woven by a needle to give a mat-like material 1. Then, the mat like material 1 is pressed by a proper pressing apparatus in a pressing process 5 and contracted to have a prescribed thickness. Attributed to the pressing and contracting treatment, fibers 3 melted through a heating process 4 are stuck to one another. A conductive material 6, which is a composite material, in a desire thickness is produced by cooling. In the conductive material 6 produced in this way, since the fibers 3 are stuck one another while being entangled with the fibers 2 in mixture woven state, the fibers 2 are firmly held and fray and separation can be prevented. Moreover, since the conductive material is produced while mixing economical resin, the material can be produced economically as compared with a conventional conductive material produced from only the fibers 2 and at the same time the fibers 2 are prevented from fraying and surely retained and the durability of the material is improved. |
