PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte battery in which battery characteristics under high temperature environment and in storage are improved. SOLUTION: Crystalline syndiotactic polystyrene resin or a material obtained by adding polyolefin elastomer comprising polyethylene or polypropylene to crystalline syndiotactic polystyrene resin is used as a gasket material, and a nonaqueous electrolyte prepared by dissolving lithium borofluoride as a solute in an organic solvent ofγ-butyrolactone alone or its mixture is used. In a battery after sealing, by specifying the compression ratio of the gasket to 30-75% in thickness, electrolyte leakage performance is enhanced.
