PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital image processor preventing the tip part of an original from being read to be black even when the original is an image recorded on a diazo recording paper the tip part of which is void or the base part of the original to read is dark. SOLUTION: The processor is provided with a photoelectric conversion means 1 converting image information of the original read line by line to an electric signal, a digital conversion means 2 converting the output of the means 1 into a multilevel digital signal and a comparing and outputting means 3 comparing the convert-processed multilevel digital signal and a comparing signal level to output as a black or white digital value based on this comparing result. In this case the comparing signal level of the means 3 from an original scanning starting position to a prescribed position is set to be close to a black side compared with the comparing signal level after the prescribed position. |
