Symbol value sequence evaluation method for CDMA receiver

The evaluation method determines the sequence of symbol values contained in a received signal by estimating a sequence of channel estimation values for the transmission channels of at least 2 subscribers. The received signal is also used to provide a reception vector, having 2 components, for each transmitted symbol. The reception vector and the channel estimation value sequences are used to provide the condition transitions of the symbol value sequence via a Viterbi algorithm. A calculation of at least one metric increment, via at least one error value, indicates the difference between the reception vector and a required reception vector provided by the channel estimation value sequences for both subscribers.
