Anti-decubitus bed for prophylaxis of pressure sores

The bed has a number of movable pistons for generating a pressure distribution over the surface of the patient's body. The pistons can be connected together pneumatically and/or hydraulically or can be driven individually, e.g. mechanically. The pistons are connected to a balancing container (1). The piston positions are measured and a display indicates if the pressure distribution is not optimal.
