<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cowl top structure of a vehicle capable of effectively fulfilling the shock-absorbing function for protecting a pedestrian while ensuring the rigidity of a vehicle body. <P>SOLUTION: A cowl member 10 comprises a cowl top outer 11 having a glass supporting part 11a for supporting the lower side of a front windshield glass 21 of a vehicle along the vehicle width direction from a rear side of the vehicle, and a cowl top inner 12 which is connected to the cowl top outer behind the glass supporting part, and coupled with a dash panel 1 below a connection part to the cowl top outer to form an open section which is opened forwardly in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle together with the cowl top outer. A cowl top inner extends upwardly from a coupling part with the dash panel over the vehicle width direction, and a plurality of beads 122 are formed, with upper ends thereof being located below the connection part to the cowl top outer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
