<p>Lactoferricin has been found to have antifungal activity against plant pathogens. Genetic constructs comprising a synthetic gene for bovine lactoferricin are prepared and used to provide transgenic disease-resistant plants. A method of transforming plants to express lactoferricin which is expressed in plants to provide disease resistance to those plants is also described.</p> |
