<p>In order that when a projection nut is caused to reach an intended location, it is maintained precisely in attitude and fed to a correct position to complete welding, a method comprises providing a recess (21) in the tip end of a feed rod (20) to advance and retract the rod (20) in a direction substantially perpendicular to an electrode axis of the feed rod (20), causing a guide pin (13) of an electrode (11) to move into a thread hole (26) of the projection nut (25) when the feed rod (20) stops, permitting the feed rod (20) to return to determine a position of the nut (25), and then permitting the other electrode (19) to advance to complete welding.</p> |
