Joint in poured concrete building structure

The system used in a building seals the joint between two masses of poured concrete. A concrete wall (1) with a separating layer (11) attached to it stands on a floor (12) forming part of a shuttering assembly. The separating layer (11) on the wall stops short of the floor. A flexible hollow (6) seal member at the bottom has an upstanding flange (3) nailed (7) to the already poured concrete and a horizontal flange (4) with a bulbous edge (5) extending into the space (13) yet to be filled with concrete. The thick part of the seal member is held in an upright U-section channel (10) integrated with a broad foot (8) of trapezoidal cross-section, which stands on the floor. The edges of the trapezoidal foot have sealing strips (9) which press against the floor.
