Process to rejuvenate spent sorbents

Spent zinc oxide sorbent(I) is contacted with a composition(II) comprising ZnO or a precursor followed by drying at 25 - 375 deg C for 1 min to 24 hrs. The dried composition is then calcined at 400 - 800 deg C for 1 min to 24 hrs to obtain a rejuvenated sorbent(III).
