The manual operating unit has a single hand lever (20), of which a single turning motion first releases a locking device (150) and then, by means of a transporting device (50, 60), turns a shaft (90). After the shaft has turned through a certain angle, the locking device locks automatically. When the hand lever is turned back to a sprung basic position, the transporting device is prevented from becoming forcibly engaged with the shaft. With the locking device locked and the transporting device uncoupled, the hand lever's basic position is independent of the adjustment device.
