The door exit light is switched across a door contact switch (2). The door exit light (1) is fitted in the vertical section of the fixed bodywork side or as part of the swivelable frame of the door combined with the door contact switch. The door exit light is fitted in that vertical door frame section, which is assigned to the freely swivelable door end, pointing backwards in the travel direction. A light reflecting element (5) is provided at the freely swivelable door end or along the door lower edge, which reflects the light from the door exit light, with an open door.
