A hose (3) is used especially in a vehicle. It is push-fitted to a connector (2). This consists of an end-tube (6) with a number of projecting ring-shaped ridges (7) each of which has a raised ridge (8) gripping the surrounding especially plastics hose. The connecter root (9) is a non-symmetrical cross-section. The diameter of the connector root is slightly larger than the inner diameter of the hose.
