Separator for removing coarse dust from incinerator plant flue gases

The separator removes solids from dust-laden flue gases flowing along the flue gas channel (1). Solids are part-extracted from the channel by labyrinth separators (2) and deposited into the cone (3) below. The outlet (4) is followed by a further cone (5) and solids outlet (6). Near the central outlet (4), a gas flow return channel (7) leads back to the flue gas channel, downstream of the labyrinth separator. Outlet openings, (14), funnels (3, 5) and return channel (7) offer less flow resistance than the labyrinth separator.
