Effective pressure indicator of flow meter

The disclosed active pressure gage for a flowmeter can be used notably for tubes of a large diameter and comprises an outer body (1) connected to the tubing. The body contains a member (8) for generating active pressure which is in the shape of at least one narrow slit-like circular canal (9). A small flow, collected from the main current runs through this canal. The pressure drop in this flow is measured and further used for determining the overall flow. The cross-sectional area of the circular canal (or circular canals) may remain constant or may change.
