The centrifugal pump is driven by a split tube motor (1), the shaft of which has a longitudinal bore (6) in the end of which, on which the rotor (2) is mounted, a porous sintered plug (10) is mounted. The motor is surrounded by a watertight sleeve (7). The liquid, which is being pumped, circulates over the sleeve so that the heat, which is being generated by the drive motor, is transmitted to the fluid. The whole pump is embedded in a thermal insulating compound.
