Free frequency capacity determination method for VHF transmission network

The method uses interference analysis at the supply range of each transmitter station to compare all frequencies, up to the currently set frequency, with the supply ranges of the transmitter. Unused frequencies are recorded in a block list. The unused frequencies at the transmitter station are then excluded from the block list, at each comparison the resulting supply range, and the effects of the supply region on the interference surfaces are determined. The frequency which forms the greatest supply range, relative to those of the transmitter and which at the same time has minimum interference surfaces, is selected as a new planning value. These steps are carried out for all transmitter stations. The results provided up to these steps are used in a second process cycle with a new frequency distribution. The steps are repeated for optimisation. When the results reaches an optimised stage, the frequencies used are set out in a list with corresponding priorities.
