A karaoke device includes a processor (1) that receives digital and audio data from one memory (2). A synthesis unit (3) produces audio output that corresponds to stereo audio data. A converter (4) converts the output into an analogue audio signal and receives an external audio signal from a microphone (43). A transmitter (5) includes a control unit (5), which receives lyrics and video data in an icon memory, converts them into analogue video signals and produces character icons compatible with lyrics data on the basis of character data. This transmitter (58) transmits wireless video signal and audio output to be received by a TV set. Synthesis unit (3) obtains audio data by receiving and processing the audio data from the processor (1). A processor (31) processes the audio data and produces audio output to be received by the converter (4). |
