The invented apparatus consists of both a discharge trough (5) of floating sludge (8) with an overfall flap (4) that is rotatably mounted on a horizontal axis (4''), and on which there are attached floats (7), and an evacuation bridge (10) with a travel (10') that is provided with an evacuation shield (12) being coupled with a second drive (18)A compression beam (16) is attached to the evacuation bridge (10). Between the discharge trough (5) and the tank center there is fastened on the evacuation bridge (10) and permanently immersed deflection evacuation shield (22). The discharge trough (5) is provided with a projecting barrier sheet (26). In front of the deflection evacuation shield (22) there is situated transport equipment for transporting entrapped sludge (8) floating on water level (3) in the direction toward the evacuation shield (12) region. The second drive (18) is connected with a control (9) that is connected to a first drive (15) for lifting and lowering the compression beam (16).
