PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid container for ink jet recorder in which the ink can be supplied stably by sectioning the upper side of a communication passage as a first region contributive to move the atmosphere to the liquid containing chamber side and the lower side as a second region contributive to move a liquid to the negative pressure generating member containing chamber side. SOLUTION: When an apparatus is operated, an ink 9 is fed from an ink containing section 6 to an ink jet recording head through a gap 8 communicating an ink containing section 6 and a negative pressure generating member containing section 4 between the end B of rib and the bottom 11 of an ink cartridge and a negative pressure generating member 3. Consequently, the inner pressure of the ink containing section 6 drops and the pressure difference from the negative pressure generating member containing section 4 increases as the recording is continued but since the negative pressure generating member containing section 4 is opened to the atmosphere through an atmosphere communication hole 13, the air passes through the negative pressure generating member 3 and enters into the ink containing section 6 through the gap 8. At that moment of time, pressure difference is eliminated between the ink containing section 6 and the negative pressure generating member containing section 4. |
