PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonphosphorus detergent for automatic dishwashers which exhibits performance equal to that of a phosphorus-contg. detergent and gives an enzyme a batter stability than given thereby by incorporating an aspartic acid deriv. or an alkylglycine-N,N-diacetic acid (salt) and a surfactant into the same. SOLUTION: This detergent contains 1-50wt.% ingredient (A) comprising either an aspartic acid driv. represented by formula I (wherein M<1> to M<4> are each H, an alkali or alikaline earth metal, ammonium, alkylammonium, or substd. alkylammonium; and R<1> is H or OH) or an alkylglycine-N,N-diacetic acid (salt) represented by formula II (wherein M<5> to M<7> are each the same as M<1> to M<4> ; R<2> is a 1-18C alkyl or alkenyl), 1-50wt.% nonionic surfactant (B), 0.2-5wt.%α-amylase (C), and at least one ingredient selected from among 0.1-20wt.% bleaching agent (D), 0.1-30wt.% alkali agent (E), and 0.1-20wt.% calcium ion scavenger (F) other than ingredient A.
