APPARATUS FOR HEAT FUSION OF THIN SHEET OF THERMOPLASTIC RESIN FOAMED BODY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform heat fusion of a thin sheet without shrinkage by a process wherein the end part of the thin sheet of a thermoplastic formed body laminated on a foamed matrix is taken up by a suction tool and the thin sheet is pressed by means of a press roll from the back upper part of a heater moving between the thin sheet and the matrix and heating and fusing both of the thin sheet and the matrix. SOLUTION: A thermoplastic resin foamed body, e.g., a matrix consisting of a crosslinked polyethylene foamed body is sucked to fix it on a platen 1 and a suction tool 2 is lowered and is brought into contact with the end part of a thin sheet 7 of the thermoplastic resin foamed body and suction is performed by depressurizing by a blower and the end part of the thin sheet 7 is taken up by means of the suction tool 2 and a heater 3 is moved and entered below it. The suction tool 2 is lowered to laminate and release the end part of the thin sheet 7 on the matrix and is returned to its original position. A press roll 4 presses the thin sheet 7 approximately from the top of the heater 3 and a press roll 5 moves onto the thin sheet 7 and presses it by following the back of the heater 3 to complete heat fusion.
