<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ethylene adsorbent showing sufficient ethylene adsorptivity even under a saturated humidity by carrying above a specific weight ratio of palladium by ion exchange method and consisting of a synthetic zeolite powder or formed body specified in the ratio of SiO2 /Al2 O3 . SOLUTION: This ethylene adsorbent carries >=0.01wt.% palladium in high dispersion state by ion exchange method and consists of the synthetic zeolite powder or formed body having the ratio SiO2 /Al2 O3 of >=10, preferably >=10 to <=10/100. A carrying method of palladium on the zeolite by ion exchange method is, for example, by dispersing the zeolite for carrying in a 50 deg.C warm water having pH>=10, in which a prescribed palladium anmine hydroxide is dissolved, so as to cause the ratio, liquid/powder, of about 5/1, stirring for >=5hr, solid-liquid separating, drying until the moisture content of the zeolite becomes <=5% and firing at 400-600 deg.C.</p> |
