<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust the output of PSA gas product with little influence on the purity of gas product by periodically isolating each vessel of a system and introducing a pause step into an adsorptive cycle immediately after a floor balancing step. SOLUTION: After a step A is finished, a step B is started, and a part of void space gas held by a vessel A is put in a vessel B to perform floor balancing. When the step B is finished, a communicative valve is closed, and the other valves arc kept at the same position as the step B, and a step C is made in a pause state. This time is set so that unadsorbed gas produced during the present cycle may be almost equal to the demand of unadsorbed gas product. Then, at a step D, the adsorbed components are exhausted from the vessel A, and the unadsorbed gas product is introduced into the vessel B in a backflow state to increase the pressure in the vessel B to about adsorptive pressure. The output of PSA gas product is thus adjusted to save electric power without changing the purity of gas product.</p> |
