PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cosmetic composition capable of promoting skin gloss without virtually bringing about skin inflammation, and useful for treating senility phenomena involved in aging such as wrinkles and such dermatoses as pimples, vesicular and morbid papulae, actinic keratosis, oily skin and rosacea, and to provided a method for producing the cosmetic composition. SOLUTION: This cosmetic composition comprises (i) a safe and effective amount of an unsaturated retinol 18-30C fatty acid ester and (ii) a safe and effective amount of a support permissible in terms of cosmetics. This composition is stable at 43 deg.C for 4 weeks or longer (that is, this composition is stable and sustains its activity for 4 weeks or longer at 43 deg.C). The ingredient (i) is the active ingredient to be applied to the skin in the support (ii). The most pref. ingredient (i) is retinyl linoleate. |
