PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion exchanger having excellent cation exchange capacity to ions of a metal such as strontium, copper, cobalt, nickel, manganese, ion, silver, magnesium, calcium or barium. SOLUTION: An ion exchanger (1) is composed of alkali metal titanate obviated through a first process reacting a titanium compd. and an ammonium compd. in water to obtain a titanic acid compd., and a second process reacting the titanic acid compd. with an alkali metal compd. in water. An ion exchanger (2) is composed of a titanic acid compd. obtained through a third process removing alkali metal from alkali metal titanate and, further, an ion exchanger (3) composed of titanate obtained through a fourth process reacting the titanic acid compd. obtained through the third process and an alkali compd. in water. These ion exchanger have excellent ion exchange capacity as compared with a conventional ion exchanger. |
