PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently manufacture a stringer having a stable shape and provide a manufacturing machine. SOLUTION: The required number of knitting needles 2, 2a are slid at the prescribed timing along many sliding grooves 1a formed in parallel on a single- line needle floor 1, lapping actions are applied by a knitting guide 8 to form the desired stitches, a monofilament bending means 3 is operated at the prescribed timing between the needle floor 1 and the knitting guide 8 at one end section in the longitudinal direction of the needle floor 1, and it is reciprocated at the underlapped position between the required number of knitting needles 2, 2a. A head section holding member 4 is moved between the position where the head section 5a of each fastener element portion is held from the inside and the non-holding position synchronously with bend-molding during this reciprocation, individual fastener element portions are continuously molded while the monofilament 5 is bent, they are knitted to a fastener tape concurrently when the fastener tape is knitted, and a knitted slide fastener stringer having a stable shape is efficiently manufactured. |
