<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conduct stabilized rolling with sufficiently holding a material to be rolled by calculating tail end thrust load and limit buckling load with a specific formula, comparing both for high or low, deciding a required side gap for each case with obtaining a max meandering quantity of the tail end end part of material to be rolled and adjusting a side guide width based on this value. SOLUTION: A wedge quantity is calculated by hdf(mm)=B/L.Sdfo, a tail end thrust load is calculated by Ps(kg)=α.P.ΔΦ.Br /d.h/γ<β> , a limit buckling load by Pcr(kg)=4.013/d√E.Iη.C. (1) IN the case of Ps>Pcr in the whole region of side guide longitudinal direction, a max meandering quantityδmax of the tail end part of material to be rolled is obtained and a required side gapΔis decided from thisδmax, a side guide width is adjusted based on this value. (2)In the case of Ps<Pcrt in the whole region of side guide longitudinal direction, there is not need to widen a side guide width for tailing off of the tail end of material to be rolled, a prescribed guide gapΔo is maintained.</p> |
