PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pigment-dispersed composition excellent in dispersibility, fluidity and coloring and useful as a coating material, a printing ink, a color plotting board, a color proof, a liquid crystal color display, etc., and a new compound used for the pigment-dispersed composition. SOLUTION: This pigment-dispersed composition is obtained by dispersing a pigment in the presence of a compound of formula I R<1> is a group of formula II [R<4> and R<5> are each H or a (substituted) alkyl; X is a (substituted) alkylene, a (substituted) alkylenoxyalkylene, etc.; Y is O, S, etc.]; R<2> and R<3> are each a group of formula II, a (substituted) alkyl, a (substituted) aryl, etc.}, e.g. a compound of formula III, which is a new compound. The compound of formula I is obtained by synthesizing 2-chloro-4-methoxy-6-[(3-phenyl-7-coumarinyl) amino]-1,3,5-triazine and reacting the compound with N,N- diethylaminopropylamine.
