METHOD FOR REPLENISHING AIR PURIFYING DEVICE WITH WATER AND DEVICE THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the cost of the air purifying device itself and to reduce its running cost by activating the air purifying function of a soil layer by the min. volume of water and minimizing the volume of the water to be supplied to this soil layer. SOLUTION: The air purifying device 2 comprises the soil layer 4, a lower space part 6 disposed below the soil layer 4, a blower 8 for feeding polluted air to the lower space part 6, a tubular body 10, etc. When the polluted air is forcibly fed via the blower 8 and the tubular body 10 to the lower space part 6, the polluted air enters the soil layer 4 and passes the soil layer 4 upward. Water diffusion pipes 20 are laid nearly horizontally at the depth D of nearly 3/4 the thickness H of the soil layer 4. The replenishment of the soil layer 4 with the water is executed by the water diffusion pipes 20 and the soil layer 4 is replenished with the water at the depth D nearly 3/4 the thickness H of the soil layer 4.
