PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impede concentration of grease and feed grease accurately to bearing space by connecting a grease retaining means to one of both bearing washers. SOLUTION: A grease retaining member 10 is connected to an outer ring 1 and has a groove bottom part 11 and flange parts 12, 13 extended radially inward. The groove bottom part 11 of the grease retaining member 10 is provided with at least one pipe stub 14 fittingly fixed to a grease supply hole 9. At the time of feeding grease, grease is led in through the grease supply hole 9, the pipe stub 14 and the outer ring 1. At first the grease is not spread to the whole area of peripheral groove space, and much grease is drawn close to the pipe stub 14. The grease is then spread to the peripheral groove space by a few open holes 15 near the pipe stub 14 and can be diffused positively and averagely over the whole circumferential area of a tapered roller bearing. |
