<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to surely detect the generation of malodor and to supply a deodorant, etc., at an adequate timing by installing a smell sensor into an air path for ventilation of a treating vessel of a device which executes the decomposition treatment of org. matter by the action of the microorganisms living in carriers housed in the treating vessel. SOLUTION: A circulating air path 8 contg. a blast fan 7 is installed in the upper part of the treating vessel 1 which executes the decomposition treatment of the org. matter and an agitator 10 and the carriers A formed by using sawdust, etc., are housed in the lower part. When the blast fan 7 is driven, the air stagnating in the upper space of the treating vessel 1 is sucked into the circulating air path 8 and a part thereof flows back into the treating vessel 1 through a discharge port 8b. In such a case, the smell sensor is installed near the discharge port of the discharging air path. When an object gas is detected, the sensor sends a prescribed signal to a deodorant (deodorizing agent) and/or decomposition accelerator supplying device 16 which in turn drops and charges the deodorant and/or decomposition accelerator housed in the block parts between adjacent partition walls into the treating vessel 1.</p> |
